SALEM's title track from their forthcoming debut album King Night is a rapturous and brutal apogee in their sound, LOUDER than anything they've previously recorded. I could assign this hymn of celestial rape equally to a cinema soundtrack highlighting the cataclysmal rapture of heaven and earth, entrails and viscera spewing forth from CGI ignition; and to a tinny old radio late at night, in a car filled with cigarette smoke on a desolate outland highway.
