KREAMING OVER KABOOM

EXPERIENCE THE 3 FIRST STILL IMAGES RELEASED FROM LEGENDARY-DIRECTOR-AND-PATENT-LEATHER-DADDY-ROLE-MODEL (DUH!) GREGG ARAKI'S NEWEST FEATURE FILM, CALLED KABOOM. THE STAR IS SOME TWINK CALLED THOMAS DEKKER WHO'S APPARENTLY IN THAT TERMINATOR TV SHOW WITH DAVID SILVER FROM 90210, PROBABLY BEING EDWARD FURLONG ONLY NOT TOTALLY STRUNG OUT. I WAS PRIVILEGED TO MEET MY HERO, GREGG (WE'RE ON A FIRST NAME BASIS NOW) ON THE EVE OF SUMMER AT THE COACHELLA MUSIC FESTIVAL THIS YEAR--- MOMENTS BEFORE MY BLOODY VALENTINE TOOK THE STAGE. I BASICALLY STALKED HIM AS HE WAS REFILLING HIS WATER BOTTLE AND GAVE HIM "SPEECHLESS CRYBABY" AND HE WAS ACTUALLY WEIRDED OUT THAT SOMEBODY RECOGNIZED HIM (I'M SO SURE)! HE TOLD ME ALL ABOUT HIS 2 NEW MOVIES. HE SAID ONE IS A COLLEGE SLASHER MOVIE AND THE OTHER ONE IS A SCI-FI CREATURE FEATURE BASED ON THE THING SET IN A MALIBU BEACH HOUSE.

KABOOM IS CLEARLY THE SLASHER EPIC HE MENTIONED. HERE IS THE OFFICIAL (?) SYNOPSIS:
A hyper-stylized TWIN PEAKS for the Coachella Generation, featuring a gorgeous, super hot young cast, KABOOM is a wild and sex-drenched horror-comedy thriller that tells the story of Smith, an ambisexual 18-year-old college freshman who stumbles upon a monstrous conspiracy in a seemingly idyllic Southern California seaside town...

Smith's everyday life in the dorms - hanging out with his arty, sarcastic best friend Stella, hooking up with a beautiful free spirit named London, lusting for his gorgeous but dim surfer roommate Thor - all gets turned upside-down after one fateful, terrifying night. Tripping on some hallucinogenic cookies he ate at a party, Smith is convinced he's witnessed the gruesome murder of an enigmatic Red Haired Girl who has been haunting his dreams.

CAN I BE THAT GIRL? IT'S OBVIOUSLY BASED ON ME. I HAVE THE TAPE TO PROVE IT.

Thanks for this post! I met Araki at the Toronto Film Festival after the screening of 'Smiley Face' and he was really down to earth and nice. I can't wait for the new film.
